Submission Preparation Checklist

As part of the submission process, authors are required to check off their submission's compliance with all of the following items, and submissions may be returned to authors that do not adhere to these guidelines.
  • The submission has not been previously published, nor is it before another journal for consideration (or an explanation has been provided in Comments to the Editor).
  • The submission file is in OpenOffice, Microsoft Word, or RTF document file format.
  • Where available, URLs for the references have been provided.
  • The text is single-spaced; uses a 12-point font; employs italics, rather than underlining (except with URL addresses); and all illustrations, figures, and tables are placed within the text at the appropriate points, rather than at the end.
  • The text adheres to the stylistic and bibliographic requirements outlined in the Author Guidelines.
  • Any use of Artificial Intelligence (AI) or AI-assisted technologies during manuscript preparation has been disclosed in the manuscript under a separate "Declaration of AI-Assisted Technologies" section.
  • All AI-generated content has been carefully reviewed, verified, and edited by the authors.
  • The authors accept full responsibility for the accuracy, integrity, and originality of all manuscript content, including any content generated or assisted by AI tools.
  • No AI tool or generative AI system has been listed as an author or co-author of the manuscript.
  • AI tools were not used to fabricate, manipulate, falsify, or misrepresent research data, results, images, references, citations, interviews, or research findings.
  • All references and citations included in the manuscript have been independently verified by the authors for accuracy and authenticity.
  • Any use of AI for data analysis, coding, classification, text mining, machine learning, or other research-related purposes has been adequately described in the methodology section.
  • No confidential, proprietary, personal, or sensitive data were uploaded to publicly accessible AI systems without appropriate authorization and safeguards.
  • The authors have read and complied with the SSMR Artificial Intelligence (AI) Policy.

Author Guidelines

Manuscript Submission

Authors are invited to submit original research articles, reviews, and other scholarly contributions to SSMR. Manuscripts should be submitted electronically through the online submission system available on the journal's website.

General Formatting

Manuscripts should adhere to the following formatting guidelines:

  • Font: Times New Roman, 12-point font size.
  • Margins: One-inch margins on all sides.
  • Spacing: Double-spaced throughout the document, including references, tables, and figures.
  • Page Numbers: Include page numbers in the top right corner of each page.

Title Page

The title page should include:

  • Title: Concise and informative.
  • Author(s): Full names and affiliations.
  • Corresponding Author: Provide name, affiliation, address, phone number, and email.
  • Acknowledgments: If applicable.

Abstract

  • Provide a structured abstract of no more than 250 words, including sections for Objective, Method, Results, and Conclusion.

Keywords

  • Include 3 to 5 keywords below the abstract to assist with indexing.

Main Text

The main text should be organized into sections such as Introduction, Literature Review, Methodology, Results, Discussion, and Conclusion. Subsections may be used to enhance clarity.

Citations and References

Follow APA 7th edition guidelines for in-text citations and the reference list. Ensure accuracy and completeness in citing sources. Authors are responsible for obtaining permission to reproduce any copyrighted material.

Tables and Figures

  • Tables and figures should be labeled and numbered consecutively.
  • Provide clear and concise titles and captions.
  • Ensure each table or figure is cited in the text.

Manuscript Length

Manuscripts should be of a length appropriate for the content presented. However, we encourage authors to be concise. If your manuscript exceeds a certain word count, please contact the editorial office for guidance.

Supplementary Material

Authors may include supplementary material (e.g., datasets, code) to enhance the understanding of the manuscript. Provide clear instructions on accessing or using the supplementary material.

Ethics and Compliance

Authors must adhere to ethical standards in research and publishing. Clearly state any potential conflicts of interest, and provide ethical approval information if applicable.

Submission Checklist

Before submission, please ensure that your manuscript includes the following:

  • Title page with all required information.
  • Structured abstract and keywords.
  • Properly formatted main text.
  • Accurate citations and references in APA 7th edition style.
  • Tables and figures with appropriate titles and captions.
  • Any supplementary material, if applicable.

Use of Artificial Intelligence (AI) Tools

SSMR permits the limited use of Artificial Intelligence (AI) tools for language editing, grammar improvement, translation, and manuscript structuring. Any use of AI-assisted technologies must be disclosed in the Author Consent Form at the time of submission. Authors remain fully responsible for the accuracy, originality, validity, and integrity of all submitted content.

SSMR maintains a zero-tolerance policy towards undisclosed, unethical, or inappropriate use of AI in scholarly writing, including the generation of substantial manuscript content, fabrication or falsification of data, creation of fake references, manipulation of research findings, or any other form of academic misconduct. Manuscripts found to violate this policy may be rejected, withdrawn, or retracted in accordance with the journal's publication ethics policies.
